The richest answer this program can get about an album, and the cheapest:
the edition supplies the label, the folded release group supplies the type
and the date the album first appeared — which is the fact a reissue’s DATE
tag most often contradicts.
The identifier kept is the release group’s, not the edition’s. Two pressings of one album are one album, and keying the record on the edition would file a second copy of the same answer the day the user replaces their CD rip with a vinyl one. The edition is what was asked; the album is what was learnt.
