A musical composition, distinct from every recording that realizes it.

An œuvre is created only from an explicit MusicBrainz work identifier. A title is descriptive, not identity: a cover, a live performance and an unrelated song may all share it.

Fields

id: Id

Position in Catalog::works.

title: String

Title supplied by the local work tag, or the recording title as a display fallback when the identifier is known but no title is tagged.

key: String

Normalized display/search key; never used to merge works.

mbid: String

MusicBrainz work identifier.

recording_ids: Vec<Id>

Recordings known to realize this composition.
