Expand description

Reconciliation of a label’s tag identity with MusicBrainz evidence.

Nothing in this enum changes the catalog. It makes the decision explicit: an identifier lookup may confirm a tag or supply a missing identity, a name search is only a proposal, and two different identifiers are a conflict to review rather than a winner chosen in silence.

Variants§

§

Local

Only the audio tags carry an identifier.

Fields

§mbid: String

Identifier explicitly read from the file tags.

§

Confirmed

MusicBrainz identified the label and local tags had no identifier.

Fields

§mbid: String

Identifier asserted by the source.

§source: String

Service making the assertion.

§fetched_at: u64

Time of the lookup.

§

Agrees

Local tags and the identified source name the same verified identity.

Fields

§mbid: String

Canonical identifier, including when the tag names a verified alias.

§source: String

Service confirming the local value.

§fetched_at: u64

Time of the lookup.

§

Suggested

A name search returned a candidate; it is not an identity.

Fields

§mbid: String

Candidate identifier.

§source: String

Service returning the candidate.

§confidence: Confidence

Approximate attachment score.

§fetched_at: u64

Time of the search.

§

Conflict

A certain source lookup contradicts the explicit local identifier.

Fields

§local_mbid: String

Identifier read from the file tags, which remains authoritative.

§sourced_mbid: String

Different identifier asserted by the source.

§source: String

Service making the contradictory assertion.

§fetched_at: u64

Time of the lookup.

§

Accepted

An approximate proposal or conflicting source identity was explicitly accepted without rewriting the local tag.

Fields

§mbid: String

Identifier chosen for source-backed traversal.

§local_mbid: Option<String>

Identifier still carried by local tags, when this resolved a conflict rather than an approximate proposal.

§source: String

Service whose claim was accepted.

§fetched_at: u64

Time at which the underlying source claim was fetched.

§reviewed_at: u64

Time of the review.

§

Rejected

A proposal or conflict was explicitly rejected; the local identifier, when present, remains the usable one.

Fields

§local_mbid: Option<String>

Identifier retained from local tags, if one exists.

§sourced_mbid: String

Source identifier that was rejected.

§source: String

Service whose claim was rejected.

§reviewed_at: u64

Time of the review.
