Artwork, Cover Flow, filters and search.

Albums puts artwork first. Artists groups the principal album artists; guest musicians remain reachable through credits. Genres, Countries, Composers and Labels offer other routes to the same records.

Choose a presentation

Use header icons to switch between grid, list and Cover Flow where available. Albums initially uses Cover Flow. Click a side cover to bring it forward, use keyboard arrows or drag the row. Letters below the slider are clickable.

The cover-size slider enlarges artwork in supported views and is inactive in Cover Flow. Double-click its icon to restore the default. A general size preference is available in Appearance settings.

Refine the selection

Year and alphabet icons independently show or hide their rails. A hidden rail does not filter. Move a bound to narrow the selection, or drag the whole range. Bars show catalogue distribution and the counter reports results.

Show all clears selection restrictions. The New additions icon in Albums keeps albums added in the last thirty days. An unknown addition date is not evidence of a recent addition.

In Countries, rotate or zoom the globe. Command on Mac, or Control on Windows/Linux, selects several countries. Tags also supports multiple selection.

Search another way

General search covers the catalogue; Your music views provide context-specific searching. The magnifier opens Advanced search: combine titles, artists, years, formats, sample rates, bit depths, ratings, tags and favourites. Turn results into a collection. Missing metadata remains unknown rather than zero.

Opening an album year clears unrelated recent-addition, composer, country, genre and text criteria. Labels initialize their own year range when you open another label. Rail counts follow the current catalogue view, including compilations and albums with no identified artist.

Control names may differ if you customized your navigation.
