Personalize and share

Appearance, shortcuts, accounts and backups.

Your own workspace

The gear opens Settings. Language selects French or English. Appearance adjusts colours and general cover size; export, import or reset a theme. Navigation hides, renames and reorders menus and separators. Custom names are not automatically translated.

Shortcuts configures key combinations. Editing fields and dialogs keep their normal behaviour. Settings are retained immediately or through the displayed Save action. A save error remains visible; it is not confirmation.

In Playback, Keep the screen active during playback makes a temporary system request. Pause and stop release it. Operating-system capabilities and policies can limit the behaviour; permanent lock settings are not changed.

Several accounts, one catalogue

Aède owns accounts, permissions and parental rules. Phémios exposes them in Settings. An administrator can restrict artists, radio, podcasts and listening budgets for a supervised account; administration and locking details belong to the Aède manual.

Folders and catalogue can be shared. Personal tags, ratings, favourites, history and collections stay private. Logout hides the previous account’s data; guest playback does not adopt its annotations.

Back up your choices

Backup exports presentation preferences, menu order, shortcuts and this device’s saved podcasts/articles for the selected account. Import previews what will be restored.

This file is not a backup of audio or a complete Aède account export. Passwords, API keys and parental rules are excluded. Use Aède for catalogue/server-data backups. Keep an independent backup of your music too.

Where do downloaded files go?

Direct downloads arrive in your system’s Downloads folder: full biography/article text, podcast episodes, personal notes, M3Us, JSON reports and spectrum images. Phémios, Local or Server subfolders are not added. Existing filenames receive a suffix; previous files are preserved. Earlier downloads stay in their original location.

CSV, themes and preference backups still open a native save dialog so you can choose their destination. External-player copies retain the explicitly selected destination. Lyrics retrieved by Aède and private application/cache data keep their own storage.

Control names may differ if you customized your navigation.
